Late Night Dancing x Luktung Mae Kha Luang closed out 2023 on Sunday 31 December at LATE NIGHT TALKING MUSIC BAR in San Pa Khoi, Chiang Mai. Luktung Vichit Team brought a full luktung revue, the Thai country-pop style that fills wedding tents and village stages across the north.
It was deliberately unlike a normal night here. Instead of sitting and listening, the room stood up. The band ran the big songs back to back and both floors sang and danced through them.
Most people had come to count down with a live band rather than a playlist. It was the first night this place worked as an actual dance floor.
